Carmyn x Raider litter - Males & female available!

šŸ›’ Did you know there are pet friendly stores? Always call to verify store policy's and remember a plastic bag and paper towels in case of potty accidents.

šŸšØ Be mindful of your surroundings. šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™€ļøNot everyone is a fan of dogs and šŸ›‘ dogs shouldnā€™t be in food areas.

āœ‹ Be aware of service dogs or dogs there for service training, rather than socialization. šŸ‘€ Those dogs need to focus rather than be distracted by a playful puppy being socialized.

šŸ› Since weā€™re talking about pet friendly stores, itā€™s important to talk about the different dogs you may encounter and give them the respect they deserve.

ā¤ļøService vs šŸ’™Therapy vs šŸ’šEmotional Support Dogs. These terms seem to be used interchangeably so do you know the difference? Each type of dog has differing training and is used for very different purposes.

ā¤ļø A SERVICE dog is trained to help people with disabilities, such as visual impairments, mental illnesses, seizure disorders, diabetes, etc. These are the only dogs with public access rights.

šŸ’™ A THERAPY dog does NOT have public access rights. They are trained to provide comfort and affection to people in hospice, disaster areas, retirement homes, hospitals, nursing homes, schools and more.

šŸ’š An EMOTIONAL SUPPORT dog does NOT have public access rights. They provide their owners therapeutic benefits through companionship.

šŸ“ NOTE: There is a growing trend of calling therapy or emotional support dogs service dogs. There is a huge difference and service dogs need to focus on their job without the distractions of being treated as a pet. SERVICE animals are working animals, not pets. Service dogs are task trained to aide with an individualā€™s disabilities. Having a disability isnā€™t reason enough to categorize your own dog as a service dog. Your service dog must be task trained for things that require their assistance such as psychological or mobility assistance, guide dogs, hearing dogs, diabetic, allergy or seizure alert, autism support, etc... Please do not distract or pet service animals while they are working.
